The Danish innovation and business support system will undergo big changes in the next couple of years. The political agreement launched in May outlines the establishment of a new Business Support Board which will be responsible for setting the strategy for the future business support effort. As part of this strategy, the Board will define 10-12 strategic positions of strength that will be publicly financed. For clusters and networks wishing to be part of the cluster landscape of tomorrow the question is: How do we position ourselves relative to these 10-12 areas?

Together with one of the world’s leading cluster experts, Ifor Ffowcs-Williams, we will address this question at a workshop November 2nd. We will talk about cooperation, convergence and consolidation, and we will discuss how to ensure that all parties in the eco system are aware of their own roles as well as each other’s roles in a cooperation process – and that everyone respects each other’s roles.

Participation in the workshop is open for cluster managers, CEOs and administrators with strategic responsibility from Danish clusters and networks in the catalogue of clusters and innovation networks (Klyngekataloget).

The workshop will be a mix of presentations, group discussions and debate among all participants.

At the workshop you can:

  • Get inspiration from Ifor Ffowcs-Williams, CEO of Cluster Navigators Ltd, New Zealand. Ifor Ffowcs-Williams is acknowledged as one of the most influential cluster practitioners in the world, with hands-on experience from more than 50 countries.
  • Learn from the experiences of 2 - 3 cluster managers who are currently in the process of cooperating and consolidating with other clusters.
  • Discuss approaches, challenges and opportunities with Ifor Ffowcs-Williams, Bolette van Ingen Bro and your fellow participants.
